22 The first post on Luggiewatch FB sharing an EDC Newsletter: December 2013. This included the Main Issues Report Update, saying the council received over 500 responses to a recent consultation. The link to the newsletter is within the FB post link below:

25 Danny interviewed on the phone by Kirkintilloch Herald - about how WCC's concerns about wildlife protection, from forthcoming building. They said they might do a story on the issue and quote the new website and Facebook group. (Note: The article eventually appeared in March 2015 - when the housing plans were being finalised.)
The group formed: Aine Rochford-McFadden, Danny McFadden, Cordy Lilly, Margaret Todd, Karen Chesney, Caroline Ednie, Debbie & Jim Carmichael.

Kirkintilloch Herald story (now Glasgow World.)
18 Danny creates a website to accompany his Facebook group www.luggiewater.co.uk - (this domain name no longer exists due to it's new name: 'Luggiewatch. ). Danny offered his Facebook group as the vehicle of communication and appreciation.
The group called themselves Luggiewatch, and this would eventually became the name of his Facebook, on behalf of the group.

Aine and Danny were attending Waterside Community Council meetings in the Subscription School - encouraged by Cordy Lilly, Margaret Todd and others. One aspect discussed, was the proposal to build houses in Fauldhead. Conservation of the area, the surrounding fields and river banks, were a real concern.

9 Luggie Corridor Facebook group, created by Danny McFadden with the sub-heading: 'Luggie Water, Wildlife Corridor, Worth Protecting' He loved taking photos of the nature around Waterside and was going to begin posting them here.
